Looks like Fall, and Feels like it!

We’ve had cool days and nights, a first very light snow early in the month, and the peak has come and gone. But it’s still beautiful!

Our Annual Business Meeting was held on ZOOM again this year and was well attended. If you missed it, or want to review the material presented, you can see the PowerPoint Presentation here. Our new Board members were elected, and have started thinking about the committees they might want to chair. You can meet them on the website on this page. More on that next month!

Membership Update 2022

As of mid September we had 199 paid members, 10 more than last year at this time, but still less than the 205 members at the end of last year. Remember to ask your neighbors if they're members, and check to see if you've made your donation this year.

At the beginning of the year we asked everyone to dig deeper to help support the 3 year plan to significantly reduce the milfoil level in the lake. Well, you certainly did and thank you so much for rising to the occasion! Our expanded membership and donation goal for 2022 was $34,500. As of mid September we had received $37,092, with more coming in every week! Your support is what sustains the work we do to protect our beautiful lake.

Quick Update from the Invasives Committee

The Invasives Committee reports that we had a successful year in fighting milfoil and learning more about where our trouble spots are. A more detailed update will be forthcoming in the next couple of months as they proceed with the applications needed to use the herbacide ProcellaCOR in 2023.
