Jeanette has always been involved in her community. She spent years as a religion teacher, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a Brownie Leader. In 1979, as a registered nurse, she transferred into the Emergency Department and became very active with the Emergency Nurses Association at the Suffolk County, NY State, and National levels.
In 1986 she volunterred with the Dix Hills Fire Dept as an Advanced EMT and was elected Lt, in the Rescue Squad.
When she and her husband Richard retired, they bought land on Paradox Lake, built their cabin and became involved with the Paradox Lake Associaation in order to preserve the natural beauty of the Lake. They manned the lake steward tent at the campground and later kept track of the lake stewards.
Jeanette is an Upper Lake Director. Current term ends 2023.
